The first hike I can remember was at 5 yo at the Adirondack MTNS. Until I was 18 I hiked weekly mostly in the upstate New York area. Later I met a redneck cowboy (he will tell you all about it) who invited me to go on a overnight HIKING trip. Little did I know New Yorkers & Utahans define hiking differently. As I carried all necessary provisions on an incline for 5 miles a day for 3 days. Once I saw the wildflowers I forgot all about the pain. Married that cowboy & trek out to the MTNS daily
The best camping is primitive snuggled amongst the wildflowers with the camp fire roaring and laughter of children, unless its snowing. Typically during hunting season we will awake to snow bring the fifth wheel along for some warmth. Either way is full of memories. Sharing our favorite spots along the way
